120 Hours is the world’s largest architecture competition for students, created by students. Founded in Norway, it is known for its intense format—participants have exactly 120 hours (five days) to design and submit their proposals in response to a thought-provoking theme.
120 Hours 2025: The Art of Losing
This year’s competition explores The Art of Losing, examining how loss shapes spaces, memories, and identities. The site, Tullinløkka in Oslo, has spent over a century searching for a purpose—used as a sports field, a parking lot, an exhibition space, and more, yet never settling into a permanent role. Despite countless proposals, it remains a void, caught between past uses and future possibilities.
